Experience one of the world’s most romantic buildings with a skip-the-line ticket to the Taj Mahal in Agra.
You will be picked up at your hotel in Agra at 3:30 pm and proceed to the Agra Fort Army Gate. The tour then proceeds to Ambedkar Park. The next stop is the Agra Fort Railway station. Built in true British style, this station carries about 90,000 passengers each day.
Your next stop is Jama Masjid, the biggest mosque in the city, where you will learn about Islam religion and Mughal history.
Next, you will stop at Chimman Lal Poori Wala, a 185-year old local sweet shop where guests can not only see various sweets being made but also sample them. Hitting the road again, the tour explores a local wholesale market where the guide explains the various wares on sale on how Indian markets are so much different from organized retail in most western countries.
Monkeys greet the way to the next attraction Mankameshwar Mandir, a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. You are welcome to enter the temple and see devotees going about prayer regimes.
Next, your tour will take you to the Rawatpara Spice market. Bound to sneeze a few times as the aroma fills the air, you can witness heaps of red chilies and pots of Indian pickles. The tour then proceeds through a cycle rickshaw ride, the most popular means of transport in India. The ride ends at the banks of the river Yamuna and you will then head to the backside of the Taj Mahal in a car.
You will then experience a sunset view of the Taj Mahal from across the river. The tour ends here and you will be dropped back off at your hotel.
